Description:
This is a liquid foundation by Smashbox, and it comes in just 10 shades numbered 1 to 10. As the name implies it's supposed to give you a flawless finish that's HD Camera like.
Review:
This product is definitely something I wouldn't have bought on my own, and I came across it by accident. Basically, my mum had gone on a business trip and used KLM, and in their usual fashion they left her luggage behind, so she had to buy some new make up when she got there, and she decided on this foundation. When she got back home and had her normal products again it became resigned to a shelf in her wardrobe until I had my nearly daily raid (I was VERY bored this summer) of her make up cupboard and discovered it. I did some research on it and I was a bit skeptical when I saw that it only comes in ten shades, and the one that my mum bought was the darkest one, No. 10. However, when I tried it on, it was perfect! So far, it's definitely the most blendable and smooth foundation I've ever used. It's definitely true to the whole 'HD Foundation' thing, it really does blend seamlessly into my skin, and almost looks like I have no foundation on, but my skin appears smooth. I was also really impressed that they got their dark foundation exactly right. With most foundations I have tried for dark skinned girls, they have been either too gray or too orangish, but this one got the tone exactly right and it is one of my favourite foundations now. It does feel a bit heavy and a tiny bit oily, but apart from that it's perfect.
Worth the Money?
This foundation is $42 in the U.S, and in the £29 in the U.K. Smashbox is a bit of a pricey brand, but this foundation is cheaper and much better than some more expensive brands, so it is definitely worth it.
How I Use It:
I apply this foundation with my MAC 159 Duo fibre blush brush. It's made for applying blush, but it works for foundation and concealer and all those things too. I apply the foundation straight onto the brush and then apply it in circular motions.
