Make Up Revolution Colour Chaos Eye Shadow Palette

Description:
This product has 18 shades, 12 of which are shimmer, and the other 6 matte. It's part of Make Up Revolution's Salvation line of eye shadow palettes.

Review:
Most of the 12 shimmer shades on this palette are great, apart from the orangish/red colour, and the light and dark blues. The darker colours are definitely the best; they're easy to apply and blend really well. However, I was REALLY disappointed with the matte shadows on this palette, especially after the shimmery shades had made a good impression. I had to apply loads of the product for it to show up properly, and as soon as I tried to blend it with anything else, it nearly disappeared. I thought this might have been because I have a darker skin tone, so I tried it on my Caucasian friend, but it still had the same results. It does look a little better with some primer underneath, but on the whole the matte shades were a let down.

Worth the money?
This palette only cost me six pounds from super drug, so I would say that it's definitely worth the money. Some of the shimmery shades are better than others that I've bought from more expensive brands. I probably would buy it again, even if just for the shadows that I love, because I find that they work for so many different looks.

How I use it:
I mainly use the dark greens and purples on this palette to create smokey eyes, and I sometimes use the lighter ones for the inner corners of my eyes. This picture is not very clear, but here is an example of when I used the greens and a bit of the silver in this palette to create a relatively simple look.
